A classic and elegant number that will light up the heavens! Performed in a cloak that evokes Gypsy Rose Lee herself, a luscious midnight blue gown adorned with stars, ostrich feathers and a 2m train and lingerie twinkling with crystals and elaborate bead-work, culminating in a fan-dance that climaxes on a giant, rocking crescent moon! This burlesque act is extremely versatile and can be performed in a form over 30min in length as she first teases on the moon before performing her 7min routine, that can also be preceded by a live sung set.
This costume was partly inspired by an original artwork by Fyodor Pavlov of Doris Eaton, the last surviving Ziegfeld Girl and the costume was made by Sara Costantini, Anni Hiro, Jorge D’Glamour Santos, Anni Hiro and myself.
